Two ordinances requiring dogs and other pets to be leashed in the city are now in effect. Pet owners may no longer walk their dogs off-leash and at heel, except when on private property. Dogs must also be leashed in city parks. The city continues to review options for designated off-leash areas in parks. The city council directed city staff to create 25- and 45-acre dog park models for future consideration.
