2026 Preliminary Budget & Levy presentation

At its Sept. 8 meeting, the city council approved a preliminary 2026 budget and 2025 property tax levy totaling a 7.935-percent increase (meeting video). This includes 4.6 percent for maintaining current services, 2.6 percent for continued implementation of the Public Safety Master Plan and 0.735 percent dedicated to future community facility and fire station improvements.

The levy and budget reflect long-term financial planning, align with community priorities identified in surveys and ensure continued high-quality services amid rising personnel and infrastructure costs. The preliminary levy sets the maximum allowable increase, and the final budget and levy will be brought to City Council in December 2025.
