The Oakland Road Crossing project includes safety improvements at the Oakland Road railroad crossing. The project includes pavement, concrete median and striping improvements.

Traffic Impacts

During construction, there will be additional traffic control in the project area, which will require temporary periods of lane shifts, flagging and detours. Residential access will be maintained, but temporary road closures at the crossing will occur. See the project updates section for more information.

Project Schedule

Construction is expected to begin in late May and is expected to last about four weeks.

The city does not specifically assess for these improvements. They are funded through the city's Street Improvement Fund.
