A trail curves through a section of the park between woodland and wetlandVictoria-Evergreen Park has a mixed oak woodland with dense canopy and established vegetation in the understory and ground layers. Numerous wetland areas of relatively high quality provide a buffer from stormwater flowing from the surrounding residential area. Volunteers have been active here for years, working on removal of invasive plants and reseeding to increase diversity.

Habitat restoration opportunities here include:

  • Expand removal of invasive buckthorn and non-native honeysuckle, an effort that began in the late 1990s
  • Enhance visitors' viewing experience with improved vistas.
