July 2026
At its July 27th regular meeting, the Minnetonka City Council approved a resolution ordering the improvements and authorizing preparation of revised plans and specifications for the Minnetonka Community Center Project, Project No. 27210.
City staff is currently planning to open bids in October and the council would consider awarding the contract in early to mid-November. Construction is expected to be completed by July 1, 2027, due to rental and programming commitments.
The facility would close in January, with the exception of the council chambers, Minnehaha and Purgatory Creek rooms, which were renovated in 2019. During construction all public access would be directed from city hall. Senior Services programming would continue on a limited basis and, in some cases, shift to other city facilities and meeting rooms.
