Private utility work begins on Excelsior Boulevard next week

In preparation for road construction next spring, private utility relocations and overhead power burial work is scheduled to begin next week. Private utility work this fall will be focused from Williston Road to Highland Road/Whited Avenue. Residential and business access will be maintained however this work may require temporary lane shifts, flagging, closures or detours. Please follow construction signs, watch for traffic pattern changes and drive carefully through the construction area.

The project design will be wrapping up within the next few months. Final plan approval by city council and detailed construction scheduling will be communicated at a later date. The overall construction phasing is planned to be Eden Prairie Road to Holiday Road in 2027 and Holiday Road to County Road 101 in 2028.
