The property owners, Jesse and Emily Wendt, are requesting to subdivide the property into two lots for single-dwelling homes at 14705 Glendale Road. The proposal received preliminary plat approval, with variances, at the July 14, 2025 city council meeting. Next, the subdivision request requires final plat approval.

The request to divide the property is with intention to develop two homesteads instead of one and doubling the profit on the property. Seems to me this is a for-profit purchase and, if so, why would they not pay to obtain the necessary land to fulfill the permits that are required to do so. The fact that the amount of land required to split the lots is 675 Square feet short of being able to be split legally into 2 lots. I feel if they want to split the lot, again for personal monetary gain, then they should legally obtain the amount of land required to do so regardless of what the adjacent owner is using the land for and regardless of what Cty Rd. 4 and Chastek plan to do. Therefore, I would be against the splitting of the lot into two, unless you purchase the required land needed to do so. After all, the plan in to split the lot into two is for-profit and if the neighbors are being affected, then maybe they should profit too.
