In September 2025, the city council approved an interim use permit (IUP) for a temporary modular classroom building at 4801 Woodridge Road (Glen Lake Elementary). This approval will expire in July 2026. The Hopkins School District is requesting a one-year extension of the IUP, through the 2026-2027 school year.

In August 2025, the Hopkins School District (ISD 270) submitted a request to amend its interim use permit for a temporary modular classroom building at Glen Lake Elementary, 4801 Woodridge Road.

At its July 14, 2025, meeting, the city council approved the proposal for an interim use permit.
