The City of Minnetonka is proposing a street improvement project in 2027 for Green Oak Drive, which includes Green Oak Drive, Bren Road West and Bren Road East.

The proposed improvements include:

  • Reversing the direction of traffic on Green Oak Drive to improve traffic flow in the Opus area
  • Adding two-way traffic on Green Oak Drive between Opus Parkway and Bren Road East
  • Removing the signal at Green Oak Drive and Bren Road East
  • Storm sewer improvements

Project surveying to begin soon

Surveying in the proposed project area, which includes collecting field measurements and other information, will begin in the next few weeks and continue through this fall. Surveying will be conducted by the city’s engineering consultant, Alliant Engineering, Inc., and is weather-dependent.

Surveying will be conducted from the street, but may take place in yards, driveways and parking lots. Underground utilities will be temporarily marked with flags or paint. Please leave these markers in place until survey crews have completed work in the area.

Once surveying is complete, staff will begin working on a preliminary design and project schedule in preparation for an informational open house.
