The City of Minnetonka is proposing storm sewer improvements from the east side of Groveland Elementary School to Gro Tonka Park. The project is a continuation of improvements made near Groveland Elementary School in 2023. Improvements will include the installation of larger storm sewer piping to manage stormwater flood risk throughout the area.

    Project Schedule

Construction is scheduled to begin mid-September and completion is expected in November. Detailed information regarding the construction schedule will be communicated via the project website and email updates. Please subscribe for updates to stay informed. Schedules are weather-dependent and subject to change.

The project crosses Groveland Cemetery and Woodlawn Avenue, which will require full-width replacement of the street. This work will require temporary short-term closures. Detours will be communicated via signage this page.

Please follow construction signs, watch for traffic pattern changes, drive carefully and expect delays.

Residents will not be assessed for this project. The project is funded through a grant from the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency.
