At its Feb. 19, 2026 meeting, the city council approved the proposal.

ISD #270, Hopkins Public Schools, is requesting a variance for the proposed construction of a 1,312-square-foot, 41-foot-tall stadium scoreboard at Hopkins High School, located at 2400 Royals Drive. The proposed scoreboard would be constructed northwest of the stadium field, track and existing scoreboard.
