With the Lakes Drainage Study wrapping up, the city is preparing a preliminary design of the storm sewer lift stations at Woodgate Pond and Lake Holiday. The city's engineering consultant AE2S and its subcontractor True North will conduct surveys of lift station sites and utility corridors over the next few weeks. Surveying may take place in streets, boulevards and driveways. Some work may be done near homes and garages in certain areas.
Consultants and survey crew will carry photo identification and a letter from the city authorizing work. Any questions can be forwarded to Water Resources Manager Eric Eckman.

Residents are invited to an informational open house on Aug. 6 from 5-7 p.m. at the Minnetonka Community Center. Staff will share the results of the preliminary drainage study involving Woodgate Pond, Lake Holiday, Wing Lake, Lake Rose and Birch Island Lake. Wing Lake sampling is now underway. Water sampling is occurring on the northwest end of Wing Lake and will be completed over the next few weeks by the city's engineering consultant Barr Engineering.

Project surveying is set to begin in December. This work will only take place in specific areas and includes collecting measurements of the existing neighborhood conditions. Barr Engineering, the city’s engineering consultant, will conduct the work, which is weather-dependent and subject to change.
Surveying may take place in the areas of backyards, driveways and near homes and garages in certain areas.
