2025 Mill and Overlay Project (Business Districts)

Mill and overlay projects extend the life of the existing roadway. The city hires contractors to complete mill and overlay projects in high traffic areas. The project includes pavement improvements, damaged curb and gutter replacement, utility casting replacement and drainage improvements.

The 2025 Mill & Overlay Project includes improvements to:

• Opus Area: Bren Road, Bren Road East, Bren Road West, Feltl Road and Red Circle Drive
• Minnetonka Industrial Road and Deveau Place
  • Additionally, the crosswalk at the intersection of Minnetonka Industrial Road and Deveau Place will be upgraded to increase pedestrian safety and the pavement markings will be revised.
• Minnetoga Terrace cul-de-sac

Traffic Impacts

During construction, there will be traffic control in the area, which may include periods of lane shifts, flagging and detours. Residential and business access will be maintained. Please follow construction signs, watch for traffic pattern changes and drive carefully through construction areas.

Project Schedule

Construction will start soon and is expected to last approximately two months.

Assessment

The city does not specifically assess for these improvements. They are funded through the city's Street Improvement Fund.
