An application has been submitted to redevelop the existing property at 2000 Hopkins Crossroad. The existing school building would be removed, and two 10-bedroom homes would be constructed. These licensed residential care facilities would serve people living with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. The proposal requires a conditional use permit.

Concept plans were submitted to redevelop 2000 Hopkins Crossroad. Each of the four concepts involves building new 10-bedroom, licensed residential care homes for individuals living with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. Two concepts call for removing the existing school building, while the other two consider preserving its oldest section.

This project is currently undergoing concept plan review. The planning commission and city council will view the proposal and offer feedback to the applicant, who may then use these insights to prepare a formal plan and application. No formal votes to approve or deny the concept will be taken at this stage.
